Voice of the Broncbusters Mike Pilosof leads the sports information department

For the past four years, Mike Pilosof has served as the voice of both the Broncbusters and Garden City High School Buffaloes.

Now he's adding another title to his name.

Pilosof was named the new head of the sports information department, replacing Dan Delgado, who left to become the new Athletic Director at Syracuse High School.

"This was an easy call as everyone in Western Kansas knows Mike's hard work, integrity and attention to detail; not to mention the passion he has for sports," said Athletic Director John Green.

Pilosof came to Garden City from Weatherford, Okla., where he spent one season as the assistant sports director and backup play-by-play man for NCAA Division-II Southwestern Oklahoma State. Before that, he was in Woodward, Okla for nearly five years working as a high school football, basketball and basebal play-by-play man.

"You will see the expansion of news and information under his leadership and advancement of Buster athletics through our website and social media," Green said.

Pilosof graduated with a bachelor's degree in journalism and media studies from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2007. He brings a wealth of knowledge in the sports information field, having served as a writer for several different publications while living in Las Vegas. He's written articles for the Atlantic City newspaper and the Las Vegas Review Journal in addition to montly features in the Las Vegas Sports Magazine.
