Broncbusters name Jamie Richardson new cheer coach

Garden City, KS-Garden City Community College is proud to announce the hiring of Ms. Jamie Richardson as the Head Coach of the nationally recognized Broncbuster Cheer Program. Coach Richardson has a very successful background in cheer and gymnastics.

Coach Richardson has a strong education background with a Bachelors of Arts and a Master's Degree in Education with a concentration in sports management. Her experience in the area of cheer includes being a college cheerleader and captain as well as coaching an elite squad and college team. She possesses a strong background in gymnastics.

NCA Region Director Holly Schaffner said, "Coach Richardson is a well-respected cheerleading coach and has already found success in the Jayhawk Conference.  She brings a wealth of knowledge and professionalism, as well as, a solid resume and heart for her athletes.  She has a vision for a complete Game Day experience and her knowledge in this area will surely have a positive impact on the Broncbuster community."

"My first priority is recruiting athletes who possess strong Game Day and competition skills that can represent GCCC in a positive manner both in and out of the classroom," said Coach Richardson.

The interview panel was very impressed with Coach Richardson's enthusiasm and experience. The knowledge of cheer and gymnastics she brings will advance the Buster Cheer program in the competition arena.

Coach Richardson shared, "I am very excited about the opportunities that are available for student-athletes to grow as not only athletes but as individuals as well. I promise to give all that I have to make this program successful, as well as, our community and the Buster fans proud. I look forward to meeting community members in Garden City and GCCC-I'm excited to be a Broncbuster!
