Buster Win Game Four 10-2

Busters take series 3-1 against Indian Hills.

Garden City, KS-Chris Finnegan's Busters picked up their fourth win of the season defeating Indian Hills 10-2 today at Williams Stadium.  Garden City went 3-1 against the Falcons dropping the opener 6-1 Friday afternoon.  The Busters won the next two on Saturday holding Indian Hills scoreless. Garden City won game two 3-0 and defeated the Falcons in game three 6-0.

Game four, the closing game of the series, was tight as Garden City clung to a one run lead through six innings. Garden City got on the board first in the bottom of the fourth.  Kaleb Zimmer doubled to lead off the inning followed by an RBI single by Catcher Jaxon Mohr that scored Zimmer.  The Falcons answered in the fifth. Ben Reznicek doubled to get on base and Edgar Lebron's double drove in Reznicek to tie the score at one. The Falcons would not score again.

The Busters came right back in the bottom of the fifth.  Kadin Hydrick led off with a single. Tyler Tucker followed with a single scoring Hydrick. After a Tyler Alitz ground out, First Baseman Rocky Desantis singled scoring Tucker and Garden City led 3-2.  The inning ended with a Zimmer ground out.

The Garden City bats exploded in the bottom of the eighth. Desantis led off with a single and was replaced by pinch runner CJ Krainock. Relief Pitcher Ramon Torres would then walk Zimmer and Jaxon Mohr reached base safely on a bunt attempt as Torres slipped while attempting to field the bunt.  With the bases loaded and two outs Kadin Hydrick came to the plate and delivered a three run RBI triple. Garden City led 6-2.

The hits continued as Tyler Tucker singled scoring Hydrick. Tyler Alitz followed with a double advancing Tucker to third.  CJ Krainock, pinch hitting for Desantis, singled scoring Tucker and Alitz moved to third.  Alitz stole home to score the last run of the inning and the Busters led 10-2.

Garden City improves to 4-2 overall and will host Frank Phillips on Wednesday, February 19th.  The Busters are scheduled for one nine inning game.  First pitch is at 3pm.
