Busters Win Games 1 & 2 vs Pratt

Garden City, KS-Garden City defeated Pratt 15-0 in five innings as Noah Draper picked up the win for the Busters. Draper recorded 8 strikeouts allowed two hits and walked one. 

The Busters recorded 9 runs in the bottom of the fourth highlighted by two three run homers from Alex Nielson and Kyle Lopez. Nielson would finish with 4 RBI's.

Sean Kennedy had a solo home run in the bottom of the third and added a 2 RBI single in the first inning.  Kennedy went back to work with a 2 RBI single in the fourth. Kennedy finished 3-3 from the dish with 4 RBI's and scored 2 runs.

 In Game II Conner Burns went the distance to earn his 5th victory of the year as Garden City downed Pratt 12-3.  Burns had 6 strikeouts, allowed three runs and gave up 9 hits. "I thought Conner did a good job of locating his fastballs today. Mason Brown called a good game behind the plate", said head baseball coach Chris Finnegan.
Mason Brown had a big day for Garden City knocking in 7 RBI's in Game II and 9 for the day. Brown picked up four of those RBI's in the 2nd inning when he launched a grand slam breaking a 2-2 tie giving the Busters a  6-2 edge. Sean Kennedy followed with a double and Conner Reynolds' RBI single gave the Busters a 7-2 lead going into the third.
Garden City rounded out the scoring with another Mason Brown RBI in the 5th and an RBI single in the 7th. CJ Krainock knocked in the last run of the evening in the 8th inning with an RBI double giving Garden City it's 40th win of the year. It is the fourth time Head Coach Chris Finnegan's Busters have reached the single season 40 game mark.
The Busters resume play tomorrow at Williams Stadium. First pitch for Game III is 3:00 PM.
