Busters Edged by Pirates

Garden City, KS-Brady Trenkle's Busters fell short in opening play of the Buster Shootout falling to Indy 70-67. The Pirates built a 14 point lead near midway of the second half as the Buster were hampered by cold shooting going 10-30 from the field for just under 30%.

Tough defense and aggressive play pulled the Busters within two in the waning moments but it was not enough as the Pirate's came away with the win.

Garden City was led by JT Bennett with 18 points while Diontae Jones dumped in 13. Aaron Ray came off the Bench to score 11. The Pirates were led by Davauhnte Turner with 22 points and Tate Turner added 13.

The Pirates will play Northeastern Friday at 3:30. Northeastern was defeated by North Lake College 76-72.
