Garden City Win Keeps Home Playoff in Check

Concordia, KS-Garden City's 75-62 win over Cloud County keeps their home playoff game alive. Cloud County 2-16, 9-20 never really posed a threat as Garden City led by as much as 18 points in the second half. 

A win Monday over Hutchinson gives Garden City a 10-9 league record and a home playoff game on Thursday. Hutchinson comes to town with a league record of 15-3 and 26-3 overall. The Blue Dragons are tied with Neosho County for first place. 

Josh Fleming led all scorers with 27 points and Aaron Ray dumped in 17. Diontae Jones added 11 points and 8 rebounds. Fleming went 11-19 from the field and 5-9 from the arc. Jones was 5-6 from the field and Aaron Ray went 6-7 including 5-6 from the arc. Demonte Ojinnaka led the Birds with 15 points.

Garden City will host the Blue Dragons on Monday February, 22nd to end regular season play. Tipoff is slated for 8:00pm.
