Broncbuster men roar to 5-1 victory; getting set for postseason

Garden City, KS-With their postseason ticket already punched, Garden City played loose on Saturday. And the results were encouraging. 

Humberto Smith scored two goals; his second broke a 1-1 tie in the first half, as the Broncbusters defeated Central Christian College 2-1 at Broncbuster Stadium. 

The match was scoreless until Smith blasted one home in the 30th minute. After Central Christian tied the match nine minutes later, Smith countered with his second score to give Garden City a 2-1 halftime edge. 

The score remained tied until the 53rd minute, when Smith setup Felipe Andrade's goal to make it 3-1. Rodrigo De Castro added a goal in the 58th minute before Michael Reyes put the match away in the 75th with a score to make it 5-1. 

Garden City finished the regular season 11-9 overall and 2-6 in conference. They earned the No. 4 seed in the Region VI tourrnament and will travel to Johnson County for the first round of postseason play on Thursday.
