Jimmy Joseph
Title: Head Coach

Jimmy Joseph enters his first season as the Head Coach at Garden City. He comes from Southern University where he served four seasons as the associate head coach. In his years at Southern he has produced 15 All-SWAC athletes. Joseph comes to Southern University following a successful coaching stint at Southeastern Louisiana University and Donaldsonville High School.

During that, span Joseph has guided four young women to D-1 scholarships and guided 11 student athletes to NCAA Regionals qualifying marks and over 23 all conference accolades have been honored under his tutelage. 

Joseph served as the directors of recruiting and assistant coach for men's sprints, jumps, and hurdles at SELU. Under his coaching more than 11 student-athletes earned all-southland conference honors. Eight Academic All Americans. Additionally, one Southland conference champion and three runner ups. Won indoor and outdoor conference on the men's side in 2014.

Prior to SELU Joseph coached at Donaldsonville High school and taught special education for one year where he served as Director of Track and Field. In that stint, he produced a state championship girls’ team. 

Joseph was an All-Conference Athlete for Southeastern Louisiana University 

Joseph earned his Bachelor degree from Southeastern Louisiana and working towards his Masters in Therapeutic Recreation at Southern University.

Joseph holds a Level 1 and Technical Certification.
