Broncbuster men finish second in Stillwater; women fifth

Stillwater, OK-The Garden City Community College men's rodeo team placed second at Oklahoma State over the weekend. The Broncbusters finished with 475 points; 15 behind team champ Southwestern Oklahoma State. 

"We were very close," Head Coach Jim Boy Hash said. "Anytime you can get that close with a top school like that, it definitely shows you something."

As for the individual performances, Tanner Hayes placed third in saddle bronc riding; Tyler Erickson was third in bareback; Austin Crawford finished second in steer wresetling behind former Broncbusterr Cody Devers-who's now at Northwestern Oklahoma State and Gunnar Stapleton won the team roping heeler competition.

On the women's side-Bailey McCaughey was the only top finisher-she placed fifth in brekaway roping with a score of 2.9.
