Alva, OK-The Garden City men's rodeo team finished seventh at Nothwestern Oklahoma State over the weekend.
The Broncbusters scored 115 points as a team and were the third, highest finisher among Junior Colleges. Fort Scott, who won the event and Connors State were the only schools that finished higher.
"It was still kind of a bummer after our finish last week," Head Coach Jim Boy Hash said. "I thought we could have done better."
Individually, Tyler Erickson placed seventh in bareback riding while Austin Crawford finished third in steer wrestling. He came in 10th in the long go and first in the short.
"Some things just didn't go right for us," Hash explained.
Tucker McClain, who finished 7th in the long go for team roping, missed his steer in the short go and finished 9th.
The women did not have any qualify for the short go.
