Broncbusters falls 8-2 to Frank Phillips Community College despite Erin Jankiewicz's effort

Despite a big day at the dish from Erin Jankiewicz, who finished 2-3, Broncbusters lost 8-2 to Frank Phillips Community College at Borger, TX on Wednesday.

Cheyenne Housh got the win for Frank Phillips Community College. She allowed two runs over seven innings. Housh struck out none, walked none and gave up seven hits.

Frank Phillips Community College was sparked by Kassandra Soliz andSabina Branch, who teamed up for four hits and five RBIs.

Kaitlyn Bean was charged with the loss. She lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.

The top of the first saw Broncbusters take an early lead, 1-0.

Frank Phillips Community College piled on two more runs in the bottom of the third. A clutch sacrifice fly scored Branch to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Kennedy Sims's single, plating Jaelene Solano.

Frank Phillips Community College increased its lead with four runs in the fourth. A error scored Miaya Watkins to get Frank Phillips Community College on the board in the inning. That was followed up by Solano's triple, scoring Soliz and Branch.

One Broncbusters run crossed the plate in the top half of the sixth, making the score 8-2. An RBI double by Hailey Motherwell fueled Broncbusters' comeback. Frank Phillips Community College stopped the rally after Housh got Nicole Milford to ground out.
