Broncbusters falls behind in seventh inning in 6-5 loss to Clarendon College

Broncbusters lost the ballgame after losing the lead in the seventh inning Friday, as Clarendon College grabbed a 6-5 victory in seven innings at Clarendon, TX.

Leisha Nakagawa had two extra-base hits for Broncbusters. She doubled in the first and third innings.

Even though Katherine Betts allowed five runs over seven innings she still recorded the victory. She struck out nine, walked one and surrendered six hits.

Clarendon College was sparked by Glorianna Eddy and Courtney Turner, who teamed up for three hits and five RBIs.

Kaitlyn Bean was charged with the loss. She allowed six runs in 6 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out seven.

The top of the first saw Broncbusters take an early lead, 1-0. Erin Jankiewiczsingled to start things off before Nakagawa doubled, plating Jankiewicz.

Clarendon College posted one run in each of the second, fifth and seventh. In the second, Clarendon College scored on an RBI double by Eddy, bringing home Cheyenne Hannah.

After posting one run in the third, Broncbusters again scored one in the seventh. In the third, Broncbusters scored on a passed ball, plating Nakagawa.

Clarendon College went up for good in the seventh, scoring one run on two errors.

Broncbusters lost the ballgame after losing the lead in the sixth inning Friday, as Clarendon College grabbed a 7-6 victory in seven innings at Clarendon, TX.

Leisha Nakagawa led Broncbusters' offensive threat, as she got on base three times in the game. She doubled in the second inning and singled in the seventh inning. 

Even though Ryata Daniel allowed six runs over seven innings she still recorded the victory. Daniel struck out two, walked two and gave up 11 hits.

Daniel, Courtney Turner and Haley Rodriguez helped lead Clarendon College. They combined for eight hits and two RBIs.

Shaylene Shepherd took the loss for Broncbusters. She allowed six runs in six innings, walked one and struck out two.

The top of the first saw Broncbusters take an early lead, 4-0. Cheyenne Phelps got things going for Broncbusters with a single. A groundout byTascha Holeman then moved Phelps from first to second. Erin Jankiewiczsingled, scoring Phelps. Broncbusters added more runs when Jankiewicz scored on a groundout by Leandra Lopez and Nakagawa and Motherwell scored on a two-run single by Kaitlyn Bean.

Broncbusters matched its one-run third inning with one more in the fourth. In the third, Broncbusters scored on a sacrifice fly by Bean, bringing home Lopez.

Clarendon College quickly matched Broncbusters' strong inning with a one-run inning of its own in the third. Clarendon College scored on a groundout byGlorianna Eddy.

Clarendon College went up for good in the sixth, scoring two runs on two singles.
