Busters Drop Two Against Colby

Kaitlyn Bean's big day not enough, as Broncbusters loses 11-2 to Colby Community College

Broncbusters scattered five hits on Wednesday, but weren't able to push enough runs across, and lost 11-2 to Colby Community College at Garden City, KS.

Kaitlyn Bean paced Broncbusters at the plate. Bean went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. She homered in the second inning.

Kylee Burnside recorded the win for Colby Community College. She allowed two runs over six innings. She struck out one, walked two and surrendered five hits.

Colby Community College was sparked by Shelbie Day and Angel Micciulli, who teamed up for three hits and four RBIs.

Bean ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She allowed 11 runs in six innings, walked one and struck out four.

Colby Community College never surrendered the lead after the first inning, scoring two runs on an error and a sacrifice fly by Madison Motes.

Broncbusters brought home one run in the first inning, and matched that run total in the second. In the first, Broncbusters scored on an error, scoringCheyenne Phelps.

After posting three runs in the second, Colby Community College again scored three in the fifth. In the second, Colby Community College scored on a three-run home run by Micciulli, scoring Rachel Van Gulick and Celeena Holt.

One Broncbusters run crossed the plate in the bottom half of the second, making the score 5-2. A solo home run by Bean triggered Broncbusters' comeback. But, Kylee Burnside got Phelps to fly out to end the inning.

Broncbusters drops 10-4 game toColby Community College

Despite Tascha Holeman's 2-3 performance at the plate on Wednesday, Broncbusters took a 10-4 loss at the hands of Colby Community College at Garden City, KS.

Mara Nash got the win for Colby Community College. She allowed four runs over 3 2/3 innings. She struck out four, walked two and surrendered three hits.

Shaylene Shepherd was charged with the loss. She allowed eight runs in six innings, walked two and struck out four.

Colby Community College stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the fifth, scoring two runs on two singles.

Colby Community College increased its lead with four runs in the sixth.Collette West homered, scoring Shelbie Day to start the inning.
