Broncbusters drops 12-4 game toDodge City Community College

Despite a big day at the dish from Kaitlyn Bean, who finished 2-4, Broncbusters lost 12-4 to Dodge City Community College at Garden City, KS on Saturday.

Bean put herself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for Broncbusters. She doubled in the third and fifth innings.

Kim Herron recorded the win for Dodge City Community College. She allowed four runs over six innings. Herron struck out five, walked two and gave up 10 hits.

Candace BolligRYLOE Menard and Marina Kelly helped lead Dodge City Community College. They combined for seven hits and four RBIs.

Bean took the loss for Broncbusters. She allowed 12 runs in six innings, walked five and struck out four.

The game's last lead went to Dodge City Community College thanks to a first inning rally that saw three runs cross the plate on a two-run error.

Dodge City Community College scored three runs in the fourth inning, and then followed it up with three more in the fifth. In the fourth, Dodge City Community College scored on an error, scoring Bollig.

Three runs in the bottom of the fifth helped Broncbusters close its deficit to 10-3. An RBI double by Bean, an error, and a sacrifice fly by Leisha Nakagawa set off Broncbusters rally. But, Herron got Skyler Doughty to fly out to end the inning.

Broncbusters scored one run in the bottom of the sixth to cut its deficit to eight. An RBI single by Erin Jankiewicz sparked Broncbusters' rally. The game went final when Leandra Lopez struck out.

Despite a big day at the dish from Hailey Motherwell, who finished 2-2, Broncbusters lost 17-4 to Dodge City Community College on Saturday.

Hannah Feagler recorded the win for Dodge City Community College. She allowed four runs over five innings. She struck out one, walked one and surrendered eight hits.

Dodge City Community College easily handled Broncbusters pitching as seven hitters combined for 17 hits, 14 RBIs and 16 runs scored.

Shaylene Shepherd was the game's losing pitcher. She allowed 17 runs in five innings, walked one and struck out two.

The lead stayed with Dodge City Community College after the first, when it scored seven runs on a two-run error, a three-run home run by Kaylie Schoendaller, and two singles.

Broncbusters scored two runs in the bottom of the second to cut its deficit to 11. An RBI single by Leisha Nakagawa and an error sparked Broncbusters' rally. The Broncbusters threat came to an end when Feagler finally got Erin Jankiewicz to fly out.

One run in the bottom of the fourth helped Broncbusters close its deficit to 17-3. An RBI single by Jankiewicz fueled Broncbusters' comeback. But, Feagler got Kaitlyn Bean to ground out to end the inning.

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the fifth, Broncbusters faced just a 17-4 deficit. An RBI single by Kalie Vernon triggered Broncbusters' comeback. Feagler ended the game by getting Nicole Milford to.
