Hailey Motherwell's big day not enough, as Broncbusters loses 11-0 to Barton Community College

Broncbusters fell 11-0 to Barton Community College at Great Bend, KS on Wednesday.

Madison Didion got the win for Barton Community College. She pitched five shutout innings. She struck out five, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Jenna HoseyHolly Posegate and Brittany Wood helped lead Barton Community College. They combined for six hits and nine RBIs.

Kaitlyn Bean ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She allowed 11 runs in four innings, walked two and struck out two.

The game's last lead went to Barton Community College thanks to a second inning rally that saw eight runs cross the plate on an error, a home run by Hosey, and three singles.

Broncbusters falls 12-2 to Barton Community College despite Erin Jankiewicz's effort

Despite Erin Jankiewicz's 2-2 performance at the plate on Wednesday, Broncbusters took a 12-2 loss at the hands of Barton Community College at Great Bend, KS.

Amanda Evan recorded the win for Barton Community College. She allowed two runs over five innings. She struck out none, walked one and surrendered seven hits.

Home runs for Barton Community College came when McKenna Maulerhomered in the second inning, Jayden Gonzales homered in the third inning, and Holly Posegate homered in the fourth inning.

Shaylene Shepherd ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She allowed 12 runs in four innings, walked three and struck out none.

The lead stayed with Barton Community College after the first, when it scored six runs on an RBI double by Posegate and four singles.

A one-run second inning helped bring Broncbusters within five. A solo home run by Jankiewicz sparked Broncbusters' rally. Finally, Evan got Cheyenne Phelps to fly out to end the threat.

Barton Community College quickly matched Broncbusters' strong inning with a three-run inning of its own in the second. Barton Community College scored on a three-run home run by Mauler.

One run in the top of the third helped Broncbusters close its deficit to 9-2. A sacrifice fly by Leisha Nakagawa fueled Broncbusters' comeback. But, Evan got Shepherd to ground out to end the inning.
