Broncbusters falls to Pratt Community College 5-4 in spite ofTascha Holeman's performance

Tascha Holeman went 2-3, but Broncbusters still fell to Pratt Community College 5-4 in seven innings on Wednesday at Pratt, KS.

Pratt Community College was sparked by Kate Shields and Kendra Houston, who teamed up for four hits and four RBIs.

Haleigh Johnson was the game's losing pitcher. She lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed three runs.

The bottom of the first saw Pratt Community College take an early lead, 2-0. Pratt Community College's offense woke up as Houston doubled before Shields singled, scoring Houston. The scoreboard lit up again for Pratt Community College when Daily scored on an RBI single by Katie Schrag.

Broncbusters tied the game in the second on a passed ball that scored Holeman.

Broncbusters matched its one-run third inning with one more in the fourth. In the third, Broncbusters scored on a groundout by Kaitlyn Bean, bringing home Kalie Vernon.

Pratt Community College never surrendered the lead after the fourth inning, scoring three runs on a two-run double by Shields and an error.

Broncbusters falls 10-2 to Pratt Community College despite Leisha Nakagawa's effort

Leisha Nakagawa did her best to will Broncbusters to a win with a two-hit game, but Broncbusters dropped a 10-2 contest to Pratt Community College on Wednesday at Pratt, KS.

Nakagawa had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. She doubled in the second inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Caitlin Randolph recorded the win for Pratt Community College. She allowed two runs over six innings. She struck out one, walked none and surrendered nine hits.

Pratt Community College's Bailey BrysonHaley TurnerKendra Houston andMolly Miller combined for seven hits and seven RBIs.

Shaylene Shepherd was charged with the loss. She allowed 10 runs in 5 1/3 innings, walked eight and struck out two.

Pratt Community College stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring two runs on an RBI double by Katie Schrag.

One run in the top of the second helped Broncbusters close its deficit to 2-1. A sacrifice fly by Nicole Milford triggered Broncbusters' comeback. Finally, Randolph got Erin Jankiewicz to fly out to end the threat.

Pratt Community College quickly matched Broncbusters' strong inning with a two-run inning of its own in the second. Pratt Community College scored on an RBI single by Houston and an RBI double by Bailey Bryson.

One run in the top of the fifth helped Broncbusters close its deficit to 6-2. A solo home run by Nakagawa fueled Broncbusters' comeback. Pratt Community College stopped the rally after Randolph got Milford to strike out.

It didn't take long for Pratt Community College to respond as it scored three runs of its own in the fifth. Pratt Community College scored on a three-run home run by Houston.
