Broncbusters fall to Seward County Community College 4-3

Broncbusters fell to Seward County Community College 4-3 at Liberal, KS.

Seward County Community College converted a triple play in the second inning.

Kelly Kearney got the win for Seward County Community College. She allowed three runs over seven innings. She struck out two, walked two and surrendered eight hits.

Kennedy BrunsonJaidyn Mawhinney and Brittany Corrales helped lead Seward County Community College. They combined for seven hits and three RBIs.

Kaitlyn Bean ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.

The bottom of the first saw Seward County Community College take an early lead, 1-0. Seward County Community College got things going when Brunson singled. A stolen base then moved Brunson from first to second. Corrales singled, plating Brunson.

Broncbusters got one-run rallies in the sixth inning and the seventh. In the sixth, Broncbusters scored on an RBI double by Hailey Motherwell, bringing home Erin Jankiewicz.

Seward County Community College scored one run of its own in the sixth. Seward County Community College scored on an RBI single by Megan Olsen.

Seward County Community College answered Broncbusters' top inning with two runs of its own in the seventh. Seward County Community College scored on an RBI single by Mawhinney and an RBI double by Corrales.

Kalie Vernon's big day not enough, as Broncbusters loses 7-0 toSeward County Community College

Broncbusters lost 7-0 to Seward County Community College on Monday at Liberal, KS, despite a total of four hits.

Jaidyn Mawhinney got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. She pitched seven shutout innings. Mawhinney struck out two, walked one and gave up four hits.

Seward County Community College was sparked by Kristyna Garcia andVenice Batts, who teamed up for five hits and five RBIs.

Haleigh Johnson couldn't get it done in the circle for Broncbusters, taking a loss. She allowed seven runs in six innings, walked one and struck out one.

Seward County Community College piled on three more runs in the bottom of the third. A single by Garcia ignited the offense,, bringing home Callie Silvers-Harnly and Kennedy Brunson. That was followed up by Hannah Clark's double, plating Garcia.
