Shala Dobbins 1st Team NJCAA All-American

Colorado Springs, C0-Garden City Community College Women's Basketball Standout Shala Dobbins has been named 1st Team NJCAA All-American. The 5'4 Freshman Guard from Tulsa Oklahoma led the KJCCC in scoring average at 19.9ppg.

Dobbins played in 31 games and shot 42% from the field and 78% from the free throw line.

Dobbin's was named KJCCC Co-Player and KJCCC Co-Freshman of The Year. Two honors she shares with Kirea Rodgers of Hutchinson. The 5'5" Freshmen was also selected 1st Team all KJCCC.

Dobbins also broke two school records in free throws attempted in a season and free throws made in a season. On free throws attempted in a season Dobbins' 321 shatters the previous record held by Jasmine Irving. Irving posted 240 attempts in 2002-2003.
