Garden City, KS-The rebuilding process has already begun for Garden City volleyball.

In five matches, the Broncbusters have shown flashes; driven in the early season by Libero Bailey Martinez. On Tuesday, the freshman was recognized as the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Player of the Week.

Martinez averaged 18.4 digs per match during Garden City's 2-3 start. She had a season-best 26 in the Broncbusters' opener vs. Butler before adding 22 apiece vs. Cedar Valley and Pima.

The Lubbock High School product was a multi-sport athlete for the Westeners before signing with Garden City back in the Spring. She helped lead Lubbock softball to their first ever regional quarterfinal appearance last season.
