GARDEN CITY, KS – Garden City Community College Head Women's Golf Coach Alex Acosta has announced the signing of Allison Cure, the reigning Kansas Class 3-2-1A Individual State Champion from Goodland High School, to join the Broncbusters for the 2026-27 season.
One of the top prep golfers in the state, Cure capped her senior season by winning the 2025 Kansas Class 3-2-1A Individual State Championship after posting rounds of 73 and 77. She also helped lead Goodland to the 2025 Class 3-2-1A Team State Championship as the Cowgirls finished with a team score of 685, defeating runner-up Jefferson West by 31 strokes.
Cure became the first individual girls golf state champion in Goodland High School history while helping the Cowgirls capture the program's third state championship, joining title teams from 2008 and 2019.
Her standout senior campaign also earned her 2025 First Team All-State honors and recognition as the 2024-25 Conference Player of the Year.
"We're excited to welcome Allison to the Broncbuster family," Acosta said. "She has put together an outstanding high school career and established herself as one of the top golfers in the state. Allison's work ethic, competitive drive, and commitment to excellence make her a perfect fit for our program. Keeping a player of her caliber close to home is special, and we're looking forward to seeing her continue to develop while representing Garden City Community College both on and off the golf course."
A gifted multi-sport athlete, Cure excelled in golf, basketball, and softball during her career at Goodland High School. Her championship pedigree, competitive mindset, and athletic versatility make her an exciting addition to the Broncbuster program.
Cure will join Garden City Community College for the 2026-27 academic year, adding one of Kansas' most accomplished high school golfers to an already competitive Broncbuster roster.
