Herbert Moore – Defensive Line Coach / Director of Player Personnel & Development

Herbert Moore joins the Garden City Community College football staff as the Defensive Line Coach and Director of Player Personnel & Development, bringing a strong reputation for developing dominant defensive linemen and building championship-caliber culture.

Prior to joining Garden City, Moore served as the Defensive Tackles Coach at Missouri Southern State University, where he worked closely with interior defensive linemen, emphasizing fundamentals, run defense, pass-rush technique, and overall player development at the collegiate level.

Known for his high-energy coaching style, attention to detail, and relentless approach to player development, Coach Moore has built a respected name in the football community through his work with defensive linemen at both the high school and collegiate levels. His ability to teach technique, toughness, and discipline in the trenches has helped numerous athletes maximize their potential on and off the field.

In addition to his on-field coaching experience, Moore operates a nationally recognized defensive line training business, where he has trained and mentored athletes from across the country. His work has earned him recognition for developing elite pass rushers, run stoppers, and complete defensive front players prepared to compete at the next level.

As Director of Player Personnel & Development, Moore also plays a key role in recruiting, roster management, and athlete growth, helping identify and develop talent throughout key recruiting areas including Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, and parts of Texas.

A Memphis, Tennessee native, Moore brings passion, leadership, and a player-first mindset to the Broncbuster program. Coach Moore spent 5 seasons playing in the SEC on the defensive line at Ole Miss from 2013-2017. His mission is centered on building men of character while creating an aggressive, disciplined, and dominant defensive front.

Coach Moore’s philosophy is simple: dominate the line of scrimmage, develop the total athlete, and build a standard that lasts.
