Toure Boyd enters the 2026 season as the Cornerbacks Coach at Garden City Community College, bringing a pedigree of elite SEC competition and a proven track record of championship-level defensive production to the Broncbusters’ staff.

Coach Boyd is recognized for his elite technical development and tactical execution. During his tenure at Chaffey College, he served as the Pass Game Coordinator, transforming the secondary into a national powerhouse:
• National Statistical Leader (2024): Led Chaffey to a Top 5 national ranking in passing defense, allowing just 134.5 passing yards per game.
• #1 Defense in 3C2A: Spearheaded the #1 overall defense in the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) for the 2024 season, holding opponents to an average of only 206.5 total yards per game.
• Secondary Production: In his second season at Chaffey, Boyd’s units ranked in the Top 10 nationally for both passing yards allowed per game and total interceptions.
• All-Conference Pedigree: Over his coaching career, Boyd has mentored and produced 10+ All-Conference players, emphasizing technical discipline and high-level film acquisition.

Widely regarded as a Defensive Backs Guru in California, Coach Boyd is known for his ability to refine the skills of elite secondary prospects. He has worked extensively with a premier roster of athletes including Jaxson Gates, Cam Jamerson, Amaurey Brooks, Jordan Slye Jr., and Zion Wallace, and MORE.

His unique ability to develop "raw" talent into NCAA Division I scholarship players is evidenced by his work with:
• Carrington Pierce (CB): Developed under Boyd at Chaffey; notably, Pierce had not played organized football before joining Coach Boyd. He earned a scholarship to Oklahoma State before joining the USC Trojans for the 2026 season.
• Collin Henry (DB): Did not play football until joining Chaffey College under Coach Boyd. Following a standout 2025 season, he signed with Eastern Illinois University.
• Christian Pierce (S): Coached and developed by Boyd; currently a standout defensive back and leader for the USC Trojans.
• Josiah Wash (DB): A key talent developed under Boyd's tutelage who moved on to compete at East Texas A&M.
• Zyhaire Lewis (LB/S): A two-time Defensive Player of the Year who committed to Boise State following the 2025 season.
• Jaxson Gates (CB): A standout recruit who signed with the University of Missouri (Mizzou) for the 2026 class.

Boyd’s coaching is deeply informed by his time as a high-level performer in the SEC at the University of South Carolina.
• National Recognition: Rated as a four-star prospect and the #3 JUCO safety in the country by 247Sports as a player.
• JUCO Standout: Earned all-conference honors at Chaffey College as a player, recording 80 tackles and two interceptions in a single season.
