Broncbusters Compete at Shadow Valley Invitational in Rogers, Arkansas

Rogers, AR – The Garden City Community College men's golf team wrapped up play at the Shadow Valley Invitational, held March 2nd & 3rd at Shadow Valley Country Club in Rogers, Arkansas. Competing against a strong field of NCAA Division II and junior college programs, the Broncbusters finished 16th overall with a three-round total of 889 (+65).
Garden City opened the tournament with a 25-over 313 in round one, followed by a 16-over 304 in round two, before closing with a 24-over 312 in the final round. The two-day event tested the field with demanding course conditions and a competitive lineup of nationally ranked programs.
Leading the way for the Broncbusters was Oliver Crowley, who finished the tournament 8-over-par with rounds of 73, 79, and an even-par 72. Crowley capped the tournament with the team's best round of the event during Tuesday's final round, posting even par (72) to lead Garden City.
Ilan Dufrenoy delivered a steady performance throughout the tournament, finishing 17-over overall. Dufrenoy opened with a 79 in round one, improved with a 73 in round two, and closed with an 81 in the final round.
Miguel Silveira also contributed solid scores for the Broncbusters, finishing 15-over for the tournament with rounds of 80, 75, and 76. Silveira showed consistency across the event, highlighted by a 1-over 73 on the back nine during round two.
Carson French completed the tournament 26-over, carding rounds of 81, 77, and 84. French showed flashes throughout the tournament, including several birdies and key scoring stretches in both the first and second rounds.
Rounding out the Broncbuster lineup was Miles Dickinson, who posted rounds of 85, 80, and 83 to finish 32-over for the tournament.
As a team, Garden City battled through a challenging field that included several nationally ranked NCAA Division II programs. Harding University claimed the team title at +8, followed by Central Oklahoma (+19) and Northwestern Oklahoma State (+22).
The Broncbusters showed improvement throughout portions of the event, particularly during the middle round where the team shaved nine strokes off its opening score.
