Broncbusters Battle Western Texas to Scoreless Draw

The Garden City Broncbusters men's soccer team fought through a physical 90 minutes but neither side could find the net, settling for a 0–0 draw with Western Texas College at Broncbuster Stadium.

First Half

The Broncbusters came out aggressively, creating early chances through Mateo Prigent, Tesnim Makes, and Jaden Grant, but shots missed narrowly wide or were denied by Western Texas keeper Brian Garcia.

Both teams earned penalty kicks in the first half, but neither converted. Garden City's Jose Navarro (#11) saw his 22nd-minute attempt saved, while Western Texas missed wide in the 34th minute.

Goalkeeper Gabriel Maia (#0) kept Garden City level with a big save in the 18th minute, while the Broncbusters' back line stood tall under pressure from a series of corners.

Second Half

The pace picked up after the break with both sides trading set pieces and half-chances. Western Texas had another chance to grab the lead in the 55th minute, but Hector Montoya sent his penalty wide.

Garden City's best look came in the 65th minute when Facundo Nuñez (#28) smashed a shot off the crossbar. Despite late efforts from both sides, the defenses held firm.

The match closed in heated fashion, as Western Texas finished with a red card in the final moments.
