Garden City and Coffeyville Play to 1–1 Stalemate

GARDEN CITY, Kan. — The Garden City Community College men's soccer team battled to a 1–1 draw against Coffeyville Community College on Saturday afternoon at Broncbuster Stadium, extending their strong stretch of form at home.

Sophomore Facundo Nunez continued his impressive season, finding the back of the net in the 44th minute for his fourth goal of the year. Nunez's strike came after a series of well-worked possessions in the attacking third, putting the Broncbusters ahead 1–0 just before halftime.

Coffeyville equalized early in the second half, but the Busters' defense — anchored by Thomas Mututala and Tesnim Makes — stayed disciplined to prevent further damage. Goalkeeper Axel Padilla made several key stops down the stretch, helping secure the draw in a competitive conference matchup.

Garden City outshot Coffeyville 12–8 and generated four corner kicks, keeping consistent pressure on the Red Ravens throughout the contest.

With the result, the Broncbusters improve to 9–4–3 overall and 3–4–1 in Jayhawk Conference play.
