GARDEN CITY, Kan. — The Garden City Community College men's soccer team closed out its 2025 regular season with a hard-fought 1–1 draw against Seward County Community College on Saturday afternoon at Broncbuster Stadium.
The Broncbusters controlled much of the match, outshooting the Saints 19–4, but were held to a single goal despite generating several quality looks. After a scoreless first half, Guilherme Nunez broke through in the 54th minute, burying an unassisted strike from the right side for his first goal of the season.
Seward County managed to equalize in the 71st minute on a quick counterattack, but Garden City continued to press forward, forcing 10 saves from Seward goalkeeper Miguel Kwiatkowski. Offensively, Samuel Murcia led the charge with five shots (three on goal), while Jaden Grant and Nunez each tested the keeper multiple times.
Defensively, Axel Padilla anchored the Broncbusters in goal, finishing with one save, while Tyrese Douglas and Thomas Mututala held the back line steady through several late attacks.
The result brings Garden City's record to 10-4-4 overall and 3-4-2 in Jayhawk Conference play as the Broncbusters now await their postseason seeding and opponent, to be determined after the weekend's remaining matches.
