Liberal, KS – The Garden City Community College women's soccer team delivered a gutsy performance on the road, securing a 2–1 win over Seward County behind clutch goalkeeping and timely scoring.
The Saints nearly stole momentum in the opening seconds, but Millie D'Ath set the tone with a huge save just 15 seconds into the match. That stop kept the Busters steady until the 39th minute, when Ariel Martinez struck first off an assist from Cecilia Garcia, giving Garden City a 1–0 advantage at halftime.
Seward County equalized in the 59th minute through Giuliana Granada, but the Busters responded with resilience. In the 84th minute, Alessandra Tovar stepped up and buried a penalty kick for the game-winner—capping off a dominant defensive performance.
Head Coach Corey Bryant praised her impact, saying: "We wouldn't have been in the position we were without her work defensively."
As the Saints pressed late, D'Ath came up with another clutch save in the final seconds, sealing the victory. She finished with five saves on the day.
The win pushes Garden City to 9-2-2 overall and 4-2-1 in conference play.
