GARDEN CITY, Kan. — The Garden City Community College women's soccer team capped off a historic regular season with a strong 2–0 win over Seward County Community College on Saturday afternoon at Broncbuster Stadium.
After a scoreless first half, the Broncbusters broke through in the 53rd minute when Cecilia Garcia buried a shot off a setup from Maddison Foster, putting Garden City on top. Just twelve minutes later, Tahlia Alvey extended the lead, finishing a perfectly placed pass from Katherine Spooner-Smith to make it 2–0.
Goalkeeper Isabelle Barsk recorded her second consecutive clean sheet, finishing with two key saves while directing a disciplined back line anchored by Alessandra Tovar and Smilla Åkesson. On the attacking end, Wilma Nyberg and Angelica Gallo consistently pressured the Saints' defense, helping the Broncbusters outshoot Seward 13–8 on the day.
With the win, Garden City finishes the regular season at 11-6-3 overall and 6-6-2 in conference play — setting a new program record for total wins in a single season.
