Five Broncbusters Earn All-KJCCC / Region VI Honors After Record-Breaking 2025 Season

Following one of the most successful seasons in program history, five Broncbusters were recognized among the 2025 All-KJCCC / Region VI Division I Women's Soccer Teams. The honors underscore Garden City's depth, determination, and the standout performances that defined a record-setting year for the Broncbusters. First Team All-KJCCC / Region VI

  • Smilla Åkesson (SO, Defender) — The defensive leader for the Broncbusters, Åkesson anchored the back line all season, combining strong positioning with composure under pressure. Her consistency and leadership were key to Garden City's 11-win campaign.

All-KJCCC Honorable Mention

  • Isabelle Barsk (SO, Goalkeeper) — The reliable shot-stopper posted multiple standout performances, including double-digit save outings and crucial stops in Region VI play.

  • Maddison Foster (FR, Defender) — Scored pivotal goals down the stretch, including the game-winner in the regular season finale against Seward County.

  • Gabriella Lima (FR, Midfielder) — A consistent creative force in the midfield, Lima sparked Garden City's attack with her pace and vision.

  • Alessandra Tovar (SO, Defender) — A steady presence along the back line, Tovar's defensive awareness and communication helped the Busters maintain structure throughout the year.

The 2025 season marked a historic run for Garden City Women's Soccer, finishing 11-7-3 overall and 6-6-2 in KJCCC play.
