Garden City, KS — Garden City Community College is proud to announce the hiring of Hannah Duncan as the new Assistant Coach for the Women's Soccer program.
Duncan returns to Garden City after an outstanding collegiate career that began with the Broncbusters from 2022 to 2024. During the 2023/24 season, she captained the program to one of the most historic runs in school history. Under her leadership, the team earned its first playoff appearance in over a decade and secured a landmark victory over the 11th-ranked team in the nation — marking the first time in program history that Garden City defeated a nationally ranked opponent. The Broncbusters advanced to the semi-finals, cementing the season as one of the most successful in recent memory.
A standout on and off the field, Duncan was named an All-Conference player and graduated with an Associate's degree in Economics. She was also recognized as the Most Outstanding Student of the Garden City Community College graduating class of 2024.
Following her time at Garden City, Duncan continued her academic and athletic career at Angelo State University. While competing for the Rambelles, she helped lead the program to a Lone Star Conference Championship and Lone Star Conference Tournament title. The team advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament during her tenure. Duncan graduated Summa Cum Laude, further demonstrating her commitment to excellence both academically and athletically.
"We are thrilled to welcome Hannah back to Garden City," said the Head Women's Soccer Coach Corey Bryant. "She understands the culture, the standard, and what it takes to win here. Her leadership, experience, and passion for the game will make an immediate impact on our student-athletes."
Duncan's return marks a full-circle moment for the program, bringing back a proven leader who helped elevate Garden City Women's Soccer to new heights. The future remains bright as she begins this next chapter on the sidelines.
