Broncbusters Set for 2026 Campaign Following Historic 2025 Season
Garden City, KS - After a record-setting 2025 campaign that saw the Broncbusters reach new heights and establish themselves in the KJCCC, Garden City Community College enters the 2026 season with high expectations and another challenging schedule. Coming off a season where the Broncbusters set the program single season win mark, they will now look to build on that momentum with a mix of strong non-conference opponents and a demanding conference slate.
The 2026 schedule opens with a pair of preseason scrimmages, beginning at home against Oklahoma Panhandle State on August 8 before traveling to New Mexico Highlands University on August 15.
Garden City officially kicks off the regular season on August 22 when the Broncbusters host Redlands Community College before heading to Dallas, TX where they will play Richland College two days later. The team returns home on August 26 to face Trinidad State before closing out the opening stretch with a road trip to Otero on August 29.
September features a balanced schedule of home and away contests, highlighted by home non-conference matches against Mineral Area and Western Nebraska before conference play begins.
The Broncbusters will open conference play at Coffeyville on September 9 and will host their first conference match three days later when Barton comes to town on September 12. The regular season concludes at the end of October with important conference showdown at home with rival Dodge City on October 24.
The Region VI Quarterfinals are scheduled for October 31, with the Region VI Semifinals on November 4 and the Championship set for November 7.
Garden City will play 12 home matches during the 2026 season, giving Broncbuster fans plenty of opportunities to support a team looking to build on last year's historic success.
