After experiencing some ups and downs on opening night, the Broncbuters faced their first test in a loaded non-conference schedule. Garden City dropped their opening match to No. 5 New Mexico Military in three sets 10-25, 27-29, 14-25.
Ashley Brown led the way with eight kills and two aces. She and Ali Jackson each added six digs, while Katie McHugh had 18 assists.
