Broncbusters Swept by Casper in Invitational Match

Cheyenne, WY – Garden City ran into a hot-hitting Casper College squad on Friday evening at the Laramie County CC Invitational, falling in straight sets (14–25, 18–25, 18–25).

Casper took control from the start, using a balanced attack behind Aubrey Hackett (.625 hitting, 10 kills) and Peyton Carruth (15 kills, .375). The Thunderbirds built an early lead in the first set and never looked back, while Garden City struggled to find offensive rhythm, posting 4 kills against 4 errors in the opener.

The Broncbusters responded better in the second set, with Andrea Djordjevic leading the offense. She finished with a team-high 8 kills and 7 digs, while Beatriz Da Cruz added 3 kills and 3 blocks in the middle. Garden City hit .176 as a team in the frame, keeping the score closer before Casper surged late to win 25–18.

In the third, Kat Miscevic chipped in 3 kills and 2 blocks, while libero Kamdyn Carr anchored the defense with a match-high 16 digs. Despite the effort, hitting struggles continued, as Garden City managed just 4 kills against 6 errors, and Casper closed out the sweep 25–18.
