Cheyenne, WY – Garden City opened Day 2 of the Laramie County Community College Invitational against a tough Northeastern Junior College squad. Despite rallying for a strong third set, the Broncbusters dropped the match 1–3 (10–25, 13–25, 25–14, 14–25).
The Plainswomen jumped out fast in the first two sets, taking advantage of Buster errors while hitting .324 and .214 in back-to-back frames. Garden City couldn't find rhythm offensively, managing just 7 kills total through the first two sets. Andrea Djordjevic and Beatriz Da Cruz tried to spark the attack, but NJC's blocking and steady serving proved too much as the Busters fell into a 0–2 hole.
In the third set, Garden City flipped the script. Djordjevic caught fire, finishing with a team-high 10 kills, while Da Cruz added 6 kills and 9 digs. Katarina Miscevic chipped in 4 kills and 2 service aces, and Kamdyn Carr anchored the back row with 12 digs. The Broncbusters hit .300 as a team in the set, rolling to a dominant 25–14 win to cut the deficit in half.
But NJC regrouped in the fourth. Led by Kiera Heaven Loe (17 kills) and Samantha Mosley (13 kills, .375 hitting), the Plainswomen's offense clicked again, hitting .306 in the frame. Garden City pushed but could not slow the attack, falling 25–14 as NJC closed out the match.
