Garden City, KS – Garden City came out swinging against Butler Community College, taking the opening set 25–21 behind strong defensive pressure and balanced play at the net.
Momentum shifted in the second, though, as Butler's offense caught fire. Despite a tight frame, the Grizzlies edged the Broncbusters 25–22 to even the match.
From there, Butler controlled the pace. The visitors strung together efficient attacking runs in the third and fourth sets, pulling away 25–15 and 25–18 to close out the contest 3–1.
