Broncbusters Knock Off Seward County in Four-Set Road Victory

Liberal, KS – The Garden City Community College Broncbusters continued their midseason surge with a strong four-set road win over Seward County Community College, 3–1 (25–20, 19–25, 25–22, 25–22). The victory lifts Garden City to 11–10 overall and 8–4 in Jayhawk Conference play.
Garden City opened the match aggressively, hitting .242 in the first set behind key swings from Jana Kovacevic and Andrea Djordjevic. Kovacevic finished with a match-high 12 kills, 13 digs, and 2 aces, while Djordjevic added 11 kills on .276 hitting with 10 digs, helping the Busters close out the first frame 25–20.
Seward County responded in the second set, capitalizing on Garden City's attack errors to even the match 1–1, but the Busters regained control in the third behind Beatriz Da Cruz, who tallied 11 kills and 8 digs despite heavy pressure at the net. Middle blocker Kat Miscevic continued her consistent play with 3 kills, 3 aces, and 6 total blocks, anchoring the Broncbuster defense.
The fourth set turned into a test of composure and endurance. Setter Vitoria Reis directed the offense with 18 assists and 9 digs, while Duru Karagoz provided efficiency in the middle, going 3-for-5 on swings with .600 hitting and 4.5 total points. Garden City's defense, led by libero Daniella Nogueira with 24 digs, kept Seward's hitters in check. The Busters closed the match on a late surge to take it 25–22 and earn their 11th win of the season.
