Broncbusters Fall in Straight Sets to Dodge City

Garden City, KS – Garden City dropped a tough conference matchup to Dodge City Community College on Wednesday night at Conestoga Arena, falling 0–3 (19–25, 21–25, 22–25). The loss moves the Broncbusters to 11–11 overall and 8–5 in Jayhawk Conference play.

Dodge jumped out to an early lead in the opening set, but Garden City stayed within striking distance behind strong defensive play from libero Daniella Nogueira, who collected 18 digs and served up two aces. Despite several late rallies, the Busters couldn't quite close the gap, dropping the set 25–19.

The second set featured improved offensive rhythm from the Broncbusters. Kat Miscevic led the charge with 6 kills on .600 hitting, adding 2 aces, 2 solo blocks, and 3 block assists for a team-high 13 points. Andrea Djordjevic chipped in 8 kills and 6 blocks, while setter Vitoria Reis guided the attack with 13 assists and an ace, helping the Busters stay competitive in a narrow 25–21 loss.

Garden City's best offensive frame came in the third set, where the team hit .276 and totaled 10 kills, highlighted by Hira Su Koseoglu's .444 efficiency and Duru Karagoz's perfect 1.000 hitting percentage on limited swings. The Busters fought off multiple set points before falling 25–22 to close the match.
