Buster Take Down Pratt in Four Sets
Pratt, KS – Garden City bounced back in impressive fashion on Saturday afternoon, defeating Pratt Community College 3–1 (25–22, 24–26, 25–22, 25–17) to earn their 12th win of the season and improve to 12–13 overall and 9–7 in Jayhawk Conference play
The Broncbusters set the tone early behind their offense, hitting .145 in the opening frame. Andrea Djordjevic was unstoppable at the net, finishing with a match-high 20 kills on .264 hitting, while adding 3 service aces and 16 digs for an all-around standout performance. Garden City edged the Beavers 25–22 in the first set before narrowly dropping the second 26–24.
From there, the Busters took full control. Jana Kovacevic provided balance on the outside with 9 kills and 17 digs, while Beatriz Da Cruz da Silva added 7 kills and 4 digs. In the middle, Katarina Miscevic was dominant, posting 6 kills, 3 aces, and 3 total blocks to keep Pratt's attack off balance
Setter Vitoria Reis orchestrated the offense with 25 assists and 10 digs, hitting a perfect 1.000 on her lone attack. Hira Koseoglu also played a key role, adding 7 kills while Kinnley Flower chipped in 19 assists and 3 aces from the service line. Libero Daniella Nogueira was everywhere defensively, recording a team-high 35 digs to anchor the back row
Garden City closed the match on a dominant 25–17 fourth set, capping off a well-rounded team win that solidified their place near the top half of the Jayhawk standings.
